The alumni group meets biannually during the Spring. In addition to the business meeting, at which time alumni board officers are elected, day-long courses offering continuing medical education credits are also available.

Each year, the Office of Philanthropy and Alumni Relations hosts multiple regional Wake Forest University School of Medicine alumni events. CRNA alumni living/working in these areas are invited to attend and connect with area medical school alumni.

Programming specific to CRNA alumni includes Wake Forest University School of Medicine gatherings at professional conferences and special events.

To date, six of our alumni have served as president of the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA). Including faculty members, nine AANA presidents are associated with our program.

Giving Opportunities

One way the Nurse Anesthesia Program stands apart from other programs is through the many nice "extra" experiences we offer residents to enrich their education. Examples include facilitating service learning projects, mission work and professional development through attendance at association meetings. These and many other classroom and skills lab resources are made possible by the generosity of our alumni, whom we would like to thank for their support.
