In a short period of time, COVID-19 has altered the pattern of our days and how our Wake Forest School of Medicine academic community comes together to educate learners and conduct research. There have been changes across programs to keep our students, faculty, clinicians, scientists and staff safe, while ensuring that research and education continue to progress at the highest standards.

I hope you will watch these two videos about our academic enterprise to learn more about many of the changes that have occurred in response to COVID-19.

The efforts of our students, faculty and researchers in light of COVID-19 have been remarkable. Our medical school, CRNA, PA, DNP and graduate program students have transitioned to new models of learning with great adaptability, and many researchers are putting innovation into action to explore new strategies for COVID-19 treatment and support our clinical colleagues on the front lines.

Thank you for your continued dedication to research and education excellence as we navigate these new circumstances. While these are challenging times, we have an extraordinary opportunity to translate discovery into improved health and learning – and stop the spread of COVID-19.
