The Wake Forest Translational Engineering and Design (TED) Core, housed at the Wake Forest University School of Medicine, provides advanced design, manufacturing and testing services to support biomedical research and innovation. We offer a full range of capabilities – from digital mechanical design and reverse engineering to additive manufacturing, CNC machining, laser cutting and custom fabrication.

TED Core bridges the gap between concept and clinic by actively collaborating with researchers, clinicians and innovation partners to develop early-stage prototypes and support intellectual property development. Our goal is to accelerate translational research and give our clients access to manufacturing and testing capabilities they otherwise might not have – all within a streamlined, fee-for-service core facility.
