Harvey Pendell Meyers, MD, clinical assistant professor of emergency medicine, was recently awarded the National Emergency Medicine Junior Faculty Teaching Award by the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP).
This award honors Meyers as an outstanding educator in emergency medicine and recognizes his tremendous efforts in advancing emergency medicine. Meyers also was honored for his excellence in teaching, including development of innovative educational programs, community education and contributions to regional and global programs.
The ACEP is the national medical society representing emergency medicine. Through continuing education, research, public education and advocacy, the ACEP advances emergency care on behalf of its 40,000 emergency physician members and the more than 150 million people they treat on an annual basis.
