The Office of Philanthropy and Alumni Relations recently hosted two breakfasts for graduating medical students – one in Winston-Salem and one in Charlotte. The Winston-Salem breakfast was hosted in Babcock auditorium at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center and the Charlotte breakfast was hosted in the Atrium Health Medical Education Building.
Christopher M. Branner, MD ’01, MPH, specialty medical director, urgent care division, Atrium Health, spoke at the Charlotte breakfast and Janel D. Hunter, MD ’10, House Staff ’13, assistant professor of pediatrics-endocrinology at the School of Medicine, spoke at the Winston-Salem breakfast. Branner and Hunter serve on the school’s Medical Alumni Association Board.
The events were held to celebrate and honor graduates of the MD Class of 2024 and welcome them into the Medical Alumni Association. Gifts were also distributed to the graduates.
