About Me
I am an emergency physician who has been involved with graduate medical education (GME) leadership for over 20-years. I served as the residency program director in Emergency Medicine for 15-years. I currently serve as the Associate Dean of Graduate Medical Education for the Wake Forest School of Medicine and as our sponsoring institution’s Designated Institutional Official (DIO). The DIO is the individual who has the authority and responsibility for all of the institution’s ACGME-accredited GME programs. I also serve our medical center as an Associate Chief Medical Officer. I actively practice Emergency Medicine and I am committed to ensuring that all of our GME learners receive an outstanding education in a positive and supportive learning and working environment.
