About Me
I’m a nationally recognized primary care physician and healthcare executive, currently serving as President of the Advocate National Center for Clinical & Community Impact (CCI) and Senior Vice President of Advocate Health. I also hold a faculty appointment as Professor at Wake Forest University School of Medicine.
Previously, I was the inaugural Chief Health Equity Officer at Humana and have held leadership roles at The Ohio State University, UCSF, RubiconMD, and Community Health Center, Inc. I’m board-certified in Family Medicine and a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians, with a passion for advancing health equity, transforming primary care, and using technology to improve access.
I earned my MPH from Harvard, my MD and undergraduate degrees from The Ohio State University, and completed my residency at Columbia University. I’m honored to be a member of the National Academy of Medicine and have authored four books and numerous scientific articles.
Beyond my professional work, I’m a global health consultant and advocate for women’s empowerment. I enjoy traveling, reading novels, gardening, sports, and music. I’m married with two children and actively involved in my community, several nonprofits, and my sorority.
