About Me
I earned my anesthesia certificate from Carolinas Medical Center and my MSN from University of North Carolina at Charlotte. My DNP was awarded from the Wake Forest University School of Medicine Academic Nursing. In my many years as a CRNA, I have practiced at Level I and Level III trauma centers, as well as prn at an Ambulatory Care Surgery Center. My clinical experiences are diverse from those settings ranging throughout the lifespan and multiple case type. My clinical experience was also inclusive of working with nurse anesthesia residents as a clinical coordinator for 20 years. My passion for mentoring and teaching is ongoing in my role as faculty in this prestigious program.
In my role as Associate Director of Clinical Education, I serve to advocate and maintain the standards of high-quality clinical education at the many diverse clinical sites we offer our residents. My academic interests are cardiac and wellness-related threats and occupational-related trauma and peer support for those at risk and experiencing such outcomes.
