About Me

Briana Miller is an Assistant Professor at Wake Forest School of Medicine in the Academic Nursing Department. She practices clinically as a Nurse Practitioner at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist in the Trauma Intensive Care Unit. Briana holds a Doctorate of Nursing Practice from Wake Forest School of Medicine and is dual certified with her FNP through the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and her AGACNP from Duke University.

With nearly 15 years of dedicated service in healthcare, Briana’s clinical practice spans the Trauma ICU and Emergency Department, and she holds an RNFA certification, enabling her to serve as a surgical first assist in the operating room. Her commitment to the advancement of trauma care and intensive care is evident through her contributions as an editor for trauma chapters in acute care textbooks and as an author published in several esteemed nursing and medical journals.

Passionate about nursing and advanced practice, Briana is Six Sigma Black Belt certified, reflecting her strong focus on large-scale quality improvement and performance improvement initiatives. She considers her career in healthcare a profound honor and remains deeply devoted to educating the next generation of clinicians and providing exceptional care to her community.
