About Me
I am a vascular surgeon and the Chair of the Department of Vascular Surgery at the Wake Forest University School of Medicine. I came to Wake Forest Baptist Health in 1995 after completing my undergraduate and medical degrees at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Virginia. I completed my general surgery and vascular surgery training and then joined the faculty in 2003. I have been a NIH funded investigator with grant awards investigating the effectiveness of embolic protection strategies in the treatment of renovascular disease. I have authored over 65 peer-reviewed scientific manuscripts and 20 textbook chapters. My clinical interests include renovascular disease, aortic aneurysms, arterial occlusive disease, carotid artery stenosis, upper extremity vascular disease, and limb salvage.
