About Me
I have been at Wake Forest Baptist Health for over three decades and greatly appreciate the vibrant atmosphere here with excellent patient care with emphasis on education and discovery. I have been Department Chair of Otolaryngology since 2006. My fellowship training is in head and neck cancer surgery/reconstruction along with ear and related skull base procedures. I am a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, The American Neurotology Society, The American Society of Head and Neck Surgery, The American Laryngological, Rhinological, and Otological Society, and the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery.
In my practice I care for those patients with head and neck cancer, thyroid and parathyroid disease, chronic surgical ear problems, and skull base tumors. I lead an active surgical program through our department that works with local physicians and industry in the Dominican Republic to deliver biannual surgical missions, now totaling over 1700 successful procedures.
