This 24-month clinical neuropsychology fellowship, beginning between July and September, has openings for one adult position. The fellowship meets Houston Conference Guidelines for training in neuropsychology and is a member of the Association of Postdoctoral Programs in Clinical Neuropsychology. The fellowship involves opportunities to see adult patients through the general Neuropsychology Clinic and specialty neuropsychology clinics.
Why Wake Forest
Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist is a large academic medical center, regional referral center, and Level I trauma center serving patients with a broad range of neurologic, neurosurgical, medical, and psychiatric conditions. Fellows evaluate individuals across the lifespan with diverse and often medically complex presentations, including epilepsy, neurodegenerative disorders, movement disorders, acquired brain injury, neuro-oncology, stroke, multiple sclerosis, functional neurological disorders, and other neurologic conditions.
Training is embedded within interdisciplinary clinical teams and emphasizes consultation-based practice, evidence-informed assessment, and integration of neuropsychological findings into patient care. The breadth of clinical populations, subspecialty services, and faculty expertise provides fellows with extensive exposure to both common and complex neurobehavioral disorders while supporting progressive development toward independent practice.

Curriculum
The fellowship follows a developmental, competency-based training model consistent with Houston Conference guidelines and APPCN standards. Fellows receive broad-based training in adult clinical neuropsychology through outpatient, specialty, and interdisciplinary clinical experiences, with opportunities for exposure to inpatient and rehabilitation populations. Training includes progressive clinical responsibility, individualized supervision, formal didactics, board-certification preparation, and scholarly activity designed to support readiness for independent practice.
