I am the Director for Wake Forest University School of Medicine’s Center of Excellence in Research, Teaching and Learning. I have held this position for the past eight years and bring almost 40 years of education experience to the center. My previous appointments include Director of the NSF Urban Systemic Program, Science Supervisor of the Winston Salem/Forsyth County Schools, as well as the Director of the North Carolina Elementary Science Teacher Leadership Center. I received my PhD in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
