About Me

I earned my Master of Science degree in Nurse Anesthesia at Middle Tennessee School of Anesthesia and my Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from the Baylor College of Medicine Nurse Anesthesia Program. In my numerous years of nurse anesthesia practice, I have worked in a variety of practice settings with a majority of my career devoted to the practice of OB anesthesia. I now enjoy sharing that experience with the next generation of nurse anesthetists in my current role as Assistant Professor and educational innovator at Wake Forest School of Medicine, Department of Anesthesiology and Nurse Anesthesia Program. My particular academic interests are in the areas of quantitative neuromuscular monitoring modalities and the prevention of residual neuromuscular blockade, cultural humility education in the nurse anesthesia profession, and simulation in nurse anesthesia education.
