Dermatopathology Fellowship Application Process

The Dermatopathology Fellowship program is offered to a single fellow each year. Applications will be accepted from M.D.s and D.O.s who have completed a four-year ACGME-accredited residency in either the US or Canada.

Application Process

Applicants interested in pursing the Dermatopathology Fellowship program must submit an application via email to Catherine Klapak, Dermatopathology Fellowship Coordinator.

Candidates who match will be notified by email of available dates to schedule an interview.

Deadline 

2024-25 – Position filled.

2025-26 – Applications are being accepted May 15 – July 15.

Required Documentation

Applicants must provide the following documentation:

  • Completed application
  • Curriculum vitae
  • Exchange Commission of Foreign Medical Graduates certification (if applicable)
  • Personal statement or letter of interest explaining career choice and goals
  • Three letters of recommendation to be addressed to the program director
  • Current photograph

Interview Process

Five applicants will be selected as interview candidates by the program director and will be notified in Late September/early October.

Candidates will interview individually in person on arranged dates and essentially spend the day in dermatopathology (DP).

In the morning, the interviewing candidate will meet with the program director, attend signout with the residents and fellows and have lunch with the DP fellow. In the afternoon, the candidate will meet with two other DP faculty.

Interview time with each faculty member is no more than 30 minutes. The interview day typically ends no later than 4 pm.
