The Pediatric Hospital Medicine Fellowship at Wake Forest University School of Medicine is an ACGME-accredited two-year program. We aim to provide the clinical experience, education, mentorship and scholarship for future pediatric hospitalists to enter the next phase of their careers

Why Train at Wake Forest?

The majority of clinical time will be spent at Brenner Children’s Hospital, a tertiary care children’s hospital within the Atrium Health at Wake Forest Baptist Health system. Brenner Children’s Hospital has a busy Pediatric Emergency Department, is designated a Level 1 Trauma Center, has a Level IV NICU and a brand new birth center and a PICU with ECMO capabilities. Brenner Children’s Hospital has 144 beds and more than 3600 children are admitted annually. The pediatric community hospital rotation will occur at Jeff Gordon Children’s Center, a 54 bed community children’s hospital within the Atrium Health family.
