About Me

I grew up near Cleveland, Ohio, and attended The Ohio State University, graduating with a BS in Biochemistry. After graduating medical school at Case Western Reserve University, I completed a residency in Otolaryngology at Northwestern University in Chicago. I returned to Ohio State and completed my training with a fellowship in Head and Neck Surgical Oncology and Microvascular Reconstruction.

I started my career at Wake Forest Baptist Health in 2008 and have been here since. My practice consists of all aspects of head and neck surgery, including mucosal and cutaneous malignancies, thyroid/parathyroid surgery, salivary gland disorders, and reconstruction with free tissue transfer. I initiated the transoral robotic surgery (TORS) program in 2010, and have a special interest in utilizing this technique for HPV-related oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma. My research focuses on oncologic and functional outcomes following surgery for head and neck cancers.
