About Me

I am a family and sports medicine physician specializing in comprehensive primary and musculoskeletal care of children, adults and families. I strive to partner with patients to help them stay active and reach their health goals, regardless of age or ability. I completed my family medicine residency here at Wake Forest School of Medicine and did a sports medicine fellowship at Virginia Tech and the Via College of Osteopathic Medicine. I am board certified in Family Medicine, Family Medicine and Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment, and certified in Sports Medicine. I see primary care patients at Peace Haven Family Medicine, sports medicine patients at Sports Medicine Stratford, and care for athletes at Winston-Salem State University, North Forsyth High School and Wake Forest University. In addition, I serve as a flight surgeon in the U.S. Army National Guard and have more than 20 years of military service.

As an assistant professor and associate program director for the Family Medicine Residency, I am passionate about medical education and research. My specific areas of interest include:

  • Point-of-care ultrasound
  • Human performance and immunology
  • Sport concussion
  • Osteopathic manipulative treatment and biomechanics
  • Physical activity disparities in our community.

In my spare time I enjoy traveling with my family and visiting our national parks.
