About Me
I am an assistant professor at the Wake Forest School of Medicine. I received my medical degree from University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed my child neurology residency at University of Rochester Medical Center.
As a pediatric neurologist, I specialize in movement disorders. Particularly, I have a passion and clinical expertise in tics, Tourette Syndrome and its related disorders. I am the founder and director of the Comprehensive Tourette Syndrome and Tic Disorder Clinic as well as the Pediatric Movement Disorders Clinic. My research is focused on understanding the stigma of Tourette Syndrome, predictors of persistent tics in adulthood and functional tics.
I am also an educator and the Assistant Program Director of our Child Neurology Residency Program. I am grateful to help shape the lives and careers of the next generation of healthcare professionals. I am an active member of the Child Neurology Society, American Academy of Neurology, Functional Neurological Disorders Society and the Tourette Association of America.
