About Me

I study how to implement and sustain best and promising practices in primary and oncology care to reduce cancer disparities. My research has been highlighted in the Tobacco Atlas and the Fogarty International Center’s Global Health Matters as a model for translating science into practice and policy to address the global burden of tobacco-induced diseases. I am MPI of the following active grants:

I partner with scientists, practitioners, and community stakeholders to implement and sustain evidence-based cancer prevention and control strategies locally and globally. I am a former Fulbright Scholar and Specialist to Hungary (2007) and Romania (2018), respectively. I was awarded the Wake Forest School of Medicine Mentoring Award (2019) and have been named a 2020-21 Executive Leadership in Academic Medicine (ELAM) Fellow. My greatest professional joy is to build teams to transform practice and policy to improve public health.
