About Me

My fellowship at the University of Colorado transformed how I approach older patients. I focus on function, understand the interrelatedness of medical problems, enjoy the pharmacology and seek out and honor patient’s values. Subsequent to this training I have worked in several academic geriatric programs teaching fellows, resident and students. I have also worked in a large Continuing Care Retirement community leading how care was provided to people as their needs changed and they required more support. As a Wake Forest School of Medicine alumna, I was very happy to return in 2019 to continue working and teaching in all in-patient and out-patient clinical geriatric settings. Providing clinical and supportive care to my patients and their families has been one of my true joys in life.

Apart from work I enjoy gardening, going to movies and concerts and travelling anywhere with my husband but especially to Seattle to visit our sons.
