Curriculum Overview

The specialty of neurocritical care is growing nationwide, and it is anticipated that the need for trained neurointensivists will only continue to increase as the population continues to age.  Wake Forest neurointensivists provide 24/7 care for the most critically ill patients in the hospital.  Our neurocritical care faculty group consists of 7 UCNS-certified or eligible neurointensivists representing a wide spectrum of training and experience, and who are committed to rigorously training future generations of neurocritical care physicians.
