The Department of Emergency Medicine at Wake Forest School of Medicine is committed to providing outstanding clinical care to our patients and excellent education to our trainees, and advancing emergency care research and quality.

The Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center emergency department has Level I designation for adult trauma, and the co-located Brenner Children's Hospital Emergency Department is one of the few Level I pediatric trauma centers in North Carolina. The department is also an accredited chest pain and stroke center.
