Information and Registration

We have contracted with an independent vendor to run this virtual meeting and provide online support. They require the following information in order to email a meeting link which grants access the day of our event. For paid participants, the conference link will be provided by email the day before these sessions begin.

There are two registration sites. Both must be completed in order to obtain CME credit, remit payment, and obtain the zoom information for login access on November 14th.  We look forward to having you join us.

Overview

Our committee recognized the need for continued safety during this unique time so engaged a new partner to share our educational content and conversations virtually. As you will see below, we plan to bring you the latest research updates and clinical information in anesthesiology and critical care by hosting a half-day session Saturday, November 14, 2020 8:00 am EST. This virtual educational conference will consist of main session lectures, live question and answer sessions in addition to breakout sessions so you may connect with experts. If you are unable to attend our live event, all sessions will be recorded and made available for review shortly afterwards.  Please join us and register now. Target Audience

This course will provide expert knowledge on innovative/basic physiologic principles and pharmacologic techniques for physicians, resident physicians, nurse anesthetists and student nurse anesthetists, as well as pharmacologists, pharmacists and other health care providers.

Objectives

  • Understand the demographic of cardiorespiratory compromise in the perioperative environment
  • Update healthcare providers on the pre, intra and post-operative management of pacemakers and ICDs
  • Describe the basic pharmacology of the direct oral anticoagulants, determine the preoperative management of direct oral anticoagulants and be able to assess the suitability of potential treatments of bleeding related to direct oral anticoagulants.
  • Review pertinent information and analyze previous lecture topics with the availability to questions speakers to clarify and discuss specific situations and scenarios that may come about in a clinical setting.
  • Increase knowledge of enhanced recovery after anesthesia (ERAS) protocols in the pediatric population
  • Evaluate efficacy of relatively new anti-emetics
  • Discuss the impact of opioid free anesthetics and enhanced recovery after surgery protocols on patient outcomes.
  • Review pertinent information and analyze previous lecture topics with the availability to questions speakers to clarify and discuss specific situations and scenarios that may come about in a clinical setting.
  • Recognize what the literature describes regarding its effectiveness.
