Growth Makes Alumni Connections Even More Important

In just a few short years, the Wake Forest School of Medicine will become the largest educator of medical professionals in North Carolina. The addition of a Charlotte campus will allow our medical school to provide even more Wake Forest-trained leaders in medicine to serve our region and beyond.

As the school grows, so too will our alumni family. After sharing a common curriculum and benefiting from the breadth and depth of clinical experiences provided through multiple locations, our students in both Winston-Salem and Charlotte will become part of a growing alumni base of Wake Forest-trained medical professionals.

With plans now in place for the Charlotte campus, it is more important than ever for our alumni to stay connected with the school, each other and our students. Alumni are the strongest links any school has to its traditions and heritage. For us, alumni connections with students help strengthen that Wake Forest experience across the generations.

To make it easy for you to stay connected, we are investing in new and enhanced tools to help you get involved with the school and our students and to make sure that your engagement with your medical alma mater is meaningful. You can read more about these new engagement tools in this issue.

You may want to mentor a student, host them during interviews, offer tours of your practice, serve your program’s alumni association or support medical education. We have designed multiple program offerings to keep you connected with the school and our students.

This exciting period of growth promises to be the best and most important time for alumni to be involved. We appreciate your engagement and look forward to engaging the alumni of tomorrow!
