About Me

My name is Jenna Selander. I am very excited to be a part of the Wake Forest Baptist Health Ophthalmology residency team in 2020. I was born and raised in rural northern Maine in a small town called Caribou. For college I moved down to southern Maine to study medical biology and Latin American history at the University of New England. My family and I have now all migrated south to enjoy some warmer weather and for me to study medicine at VCOM in Blacksburg, Virginia. Outside of my love for ophthalmology and mission medicine I enjoy getting outside, kickboxing, tennis, running and hiking with my dog, cooking new foods and exploring new cities. One of my favorite things to do is play pick-up basketball.
