About Me
I was born in Toronto, Canada, and lived in a number of states (Illinois, California, New York, Massachusetts and Missouri) before coming to North Carolina, but the only sports team I care about is the St. Louis Cardinals. I received my Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University in human biology, health, and society with a minor in applied economics and management. I then worked briefly at the tech giant, Oracle, before resigning to do AmeriCorps City Year, which continued my passions of teaching and service to the community. I was fortunate enough to be accepted to my dream medical school at Washington University in St. Louis, where I decided to pursue general surgery the day before Sub-I selections were due and cannot be happier with the choice I made. I wake up on the right side of the bed, love brain teasers and logic puzzles, hate artichokes, chose Squirtle as my starter Pokémon and have the best little brother in the entire world. I spend my relaxation time playing StarCraft with my co-resident Alan or raiding on Destiny with other hospital subspecialties.
