About Me

I was born in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., and attended the University of Florida for undergraduate school. I am a forever Gator! Afterwards, I attended the University of Virginia, where I received my master’s degree in biochemistry. I then moved to our nation’s capital where I completed research as a virologist for the National Institutes of Health. After a few great years, I returned to Florida, where I received my medical degree at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton. For enjoyment, I love horseback riding, a sport I’ve been involved in since I was three years old. It’s great that Winston-Salem has so many opportunities for equestrian activities!
