I grew up just down the road in Greensboro, NC, and completed my medical school training at Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University and residency at Wake Forest. I loved the program so much that I decided to stay for fellowship. The wonderful faculty and attendings who are deeply invested in the education and success of the fellows here, as well as the relationships I had made with co-residents/fellows, other providers and NPs, were the primary reasons I chose this program. In addition, I recognized the wealth of opportunities this part of NC offered in terms of outdoor activities, food and drink, and the chance to spend free time in the mountains or at the beach.
I am interested in clinical medicine and enjoy the opportunity to participate in Quality Improvement initiatives and research to improve processes in our large, Level IV NICU.
