Wake Forest School of Medicine partners with The Perry Initiative to promote and encourage interest in careers in orthopedics and engineering among young women in high school.
Students participate in a day-long session where they participate in hands-on “mock surgical” worships and attend lectures given by local women orthopedic surgeons and engineers.
Women in grades 10 and up who are interested in exploring careers in orthopedics or engineering are encouraged to apply.
