About Me

I grew up in the hills of West Virginia. I studied at Roanoke College in Salem, Virginia graduating magna cum laude with a Bachelor’s of Science in biology and a minor in psychology. Later, I attended West Virginia University School of Medicine, serving as Vice President for my class and President for WVU's Gold Humanism Honor Society. Most recently, I graduated from a combined Internal Medicine and Pediatrics residency also from WVU School of Medicine. During residency, I enjoyed working as a preceptor for second year medical students in their Physical Diagnosis and Clinical Integration course as well as working as a small group facilitator for the Medical Ethics course. Outside of work, most of my time is spent with my husband & 3 dogs, eating well and being outside. I’m very excited for the opportunity to live & work in Winston-Salem as a Hospice and Palliative Medicine fellow.
