I am the daughter of John and Nancy Sakely and the late Daniel C. Saling, Jr. I grew up on the family farm in Lisbon, Ohio. I graduated Valedictorian from my high school before matriculating into undergraduate school at West Liberty University in West Virginia. There, I graduated Magna Cum Laude with bachelor’s degrees in Biology and Chemistry with an emphasis in Biochemistry. I graduated with my medical doctorate and a certificate of Bioethics from Northeast Ohio Medical University in 2017. I completed my residency in Internal Medicine through Canton Medical Education Foundation in 2020. I have conducted research on multiple topics, including the impact of massage therapy on quality of life for patients with brain tumors. I chose Wake Forest to continue my training through a fellowship in Hospice and Palliative Medicine, because this program felt like a family. There is also such a wonderful balance of palliative and hospice medicine! I plan to continue research related to patient care and health care reform. This program seemed like the perfect fit for all of my passions! I am married to my loving husband, Jonathon Provchy. My favorite hobbies are baking, gardening, and researching historical events, particularly involving WWII.
