About Me

I was born and raised in in Boise, Idaho, where I learned to love with the mountains, rivers and lakes of the Northwest. I studied Biology, Chemistry, and Psychology at Boise State University. I went on to medical school at the University of Utah. In the spirit of spreading my wings, I ventured out to the other end of the country to complete my Internal Medicine residency at Wake Forest Baptist Health.

I have always been fascinated by people and their stories. My interest in older adults started during my time volunteering in hospice, where I had the honor of sitting with people and listening to their most treasured memories. I’m very excited to be here at Wake Forest Baptist for my Geriatrics training, and to start a lifetime of service caring for older adults.

Outside of medicine, I am passionate about being outdoors doing things like backpacking, hiking, or running. I have a wonderful husband, a sweet, goofy dog, and am blessed with a baby girl on the way!
