About Me

I am a Board Certified Geriatrician and Palliative Medicine physician. I moved to Winston-Salem in 2009 for medical school, and have completed all of my medical training at Wake Forest School of Medicine. I officially joined the Wake Forest School of Medicine faculty in 2018, and serve as Assistant Program Director to both the Geriatric Medicine and Hospice and Palliative Medicine fellowships. I am also the co-director of the ethics and professionalism course in the pre-clinical years at the medical school. I am passionate about teaching medical humanities, narrative medicine, and communication. When I’m not teaching, I am working as a consultant both inpatient and for the Home Call Program.

Outside of work, you can find me on any of the local greenways, in the mountains, or gardening with my husband and son.
