About Me

Dysregulation of lipid and glucose metabolism within adipocytes and hepatocytes has been implicated in the development of metabolic diseases such as obesity, Type 2 diabetes and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. Our research combines cellular and molecular biology techniques, lipidomics and mouse physiology approaches to investigate the proteins and pathways within these different cell types and their role in normal physiology and pathophysiology. By understanding these mechanisms and pathways, our goal is to provide therapeutic strategies to ameliorate metabolic diseases and their complications.
